Rebuilding Together Alexandria has many programs that support our mission:

• National Rebuilding Day --The core initiative of Rebuilding Together Alexandria is National Rebuilding Day when volunteers provide free home repairs for low-income homeowners.
•  Veterans Housing --We assist veterans, active-duty service members and military families maintain safe and accessible housing.
• Safe & Healthy Homes --This initiative allows the elderly and people with disabilities to age in place by addressing home repair and maintenance issues that present safety risks or limit access to and within their home.
• Energize Alexandria --Our green housing program saves homeowners money on utility bills and provides healthier home environments and communities through energy efficient home repairs and weatherization.

Funding sources
Since 1986, Rebuilding Together Alexandria has seen a steady increase in support from our community as well as increases in the average contribution.   In FY 2012, grants from foundations, companies, and local jurisdictions, and contributions from churches and individuals provided 100% of the organization’s revenue.

There are many ways as an individual that you can help a neighbor through Rebuilding Together. We appreciate any financial contribution (tax-deductible) or donation of your time that you can make.

In-kind skilled labor donation
Each year Rebuilding Together has hundreds of volunteers participate in the repairs of area family homes and non-profits. Many times, we need skilled electricians, plumbers and master carpenters to handle the most difficult and challenging of repairs. If you are a professional tradesperson, we need your help! In return for your donation of repair service, we can provide an acknowledgement letter of your in-kind donation for your business records.

Hardware store gift cards
Since our clients do not pay to have repairs done on their homes, we must purchase all the supplies and materials needed. We will gladly accept gift cards from local home improvement stores! In return for your tax-deductible donation to RTA, we will provide an acknowledgement letter of your contribution.

America's Charities contributions
Rebuilding Together is a proud new member of America's Charities and is a recognized organization participating in their payroll deduction drive.

CFC contributions
Rebuilding Together is a recognized organization participating in the Combined Federal Campaign. Our CFC number is 72369.

Planning for the Future
Legacy gifts are the true spirit of giving beyond the boundaries of today to provide for those who may need it in the future. Rebuilding Together encourages you to think about leaving a lasting legacy to make the world a better place for future generations. There are many ways to ensure a gift that continues giving into the future, benefiting both the donor and Rebuilding Together: bequests in wills, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance gifts, and gifts of real estate.
